Fire-rated curtain walls are carefully engineered and manufactured systems that defend against the transfer of flames, smoke and radiant and conductive heat. They include fire-resistive glass and frames, as well as component parts, all of which are designed and confirmed via testing to work together. Fire-rated curtain wall systems pass the same fire tests as solid walls, and allow for unlimited areas of glazing in fire separations.
TGP’s fire-rated curtain wall systems are engineered to meet these stringent fire safety performance requirements and more, making your designs stand out. They incorporate narrow steel fire-rated frames and large panes of Pilkington Pyrostop® fire-rated glass, allowing for sleek, multi-story expanses of glass in interior and exterior applications. Depending on the selected product, the fire-rated curtain wall systems have the option for outside pressure plates or frame-free silicone-glazed exterior finishes.
