1976
Company Founded
Every great idea begins with a spark. For almost half a century, Technical Glass Products has revolutionized the industry from humble beginnings.
1988
Invention of Firelite®
The 80s saw the invention of this totally rad fire-rated glass ceramic. This innovative solution features ultraHD® Technology for improved surface quality, clarity and color.
1994
Pilkington Pyrostop® Introduction
TGP continued to make an impact in the industry with these fire-rated, impact safety-rated transparent wall panels that block radiant heat.
1998
Fireframes® Launched
We supported our glazing with fire-rated framing solutions that have now evolved to feature a variety of materials including aluminum, steel and even wood.
2002
Firelite® Distributor Network Formed
To help get our products in the right hands, TGP forged a network of distributors that would include the United States and North America.
2005/2006
LAUNCH NON-RATED ARCHITECTURAL GLAZING PRODUCTS
For customers who don’t require fire ratings, TGP crafted a complete collection of architectural glazing and framing solutions.
2007
Steelbuilt Introduced
TGP’s architectural framing allows design professionals to create dramatic curtain walls or sleek window and door systems utilizing the strength of steel.
2008
New Snoqualmie Facility
Continued growth meant the need for new digs. Our state-of-the-art Snoqualmie facility continues to turn heads and turn out the finest products.
2015
New Perrysburg Facility
To fill the growing demand for supply, TGP expanded their production capabilities by opening a new location in Perrysburg, Ohio. Now customers were covered across North America and internationally.
2017
Allegion Acquires TGP
As part of Allegion’s family of pioneering brands, TGP benefits from the strength, efficiencies, resources, and integration from a global power. In turn, we pass those advantages on to you.
2023
TGProtect® FR System Launched
To meet the growing need for safer school and institutional environments, Technical Glass Products (TGP) introduces the TGProtect® FR System, North America’s FIRST fire-rated full-lite door system certified to forced entry standards.
