FireLite NT Now Available
Fire and Impact Safety in One Glazing Product
KIRKLAND, Wash. -- FireLite NT, a revolutionary new fire-rated glazing material, has joined the FireLite family of products (FireLite and FireLite Plus) offered by Technical Glass Products.
FireLite NT is an impact safety-rated version of the wireless fire-rated glass ceramic FireLite, with 3M© Scotchshield© Ultra Film applied to the surface. The new product is now available nationwide.
Like FireLite Plus, FireLite NT meets the impact requirements of ANSI Z97.1, as well as CPSC 16CFR1201 Category II (400 fpi). It is listed with Underwriters Laboratories, Inc., carrying fire ratings from 20 minutes to 3 hours. Since it is made with the abrasion-resistant 3M© Scotchshield© Ultra Film, FireLite NT will provide a lower cost alternative to FireLite Plus for those locations needing fire and impact safety in one glazing product.
FireLite NT is available in 3 surface finishes: Premium (polished), Standard (sheet glass quality) and Obscure (patterned). FireLite NT fits in standard fire-rated frames and is available as tested and listed in sizes up to 3,325 square inches (approximately 23 square feet) of exposed glazing.
