TGP Unveils Sleek European Fire-Rated Doors & Frames
Technical Glass Products, a leading North American distributor of fire-rated glazing materials, is pleased to announce they will be marketing a European line of fire-rated doors and frames which will offer a dramatically different profile than has traditionally been available.
Manufactured by Hermann Forster AG in Switzerland, Fireframes* have been popular in Europe for years, and have recently passed the necessary testing to be made available in North America. What sets these doors and frames apart is their unique construction and narrow profile. They allow extremely large expanses of glass, and are particularly well-suited to commercial applications where aesthetics are important.
The doors and frames are listed with U.L. for fire areas requiring ratings from 20 minutes to 2 hours. Since they can be used with barrier-to-heat products as well as standard fire-rated glazing, the doors and frames can be used with such diverse materials as: Polished wired glass, Fireglass20, FireLite, FireLite NT, FireLite Plus, FireLite IGU, Pyrostop, and other products.
