Crate Technician


Position Reports To: Glass Production Supervisor | FLSA:Non-Exempt

General Summary

This position prepares and fabricates all crates and crate accessories for the packaging and final assembly teams.

Essential Functions

  • Cuts all wood and paper products as required.
  • Fabricates and installs all accessories as required.
  • Proficient in assigned crate construction techniques.
  • Wood work performed using manual and power tools.

Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills

  • High School diploma.
  • 1 year forklift experience required.

Production Finish Welder – Swing Shift (2 openings)


Position Reports To: Swing Shift Production Supervisor | FLSA:Non-Exempt

General Summary

The Production Finish Welder is responsible for set up, fitting, welding and finishing preparation of all parts and assemblies that comprise TGP’s product lines.

Essential Functions

  • Coordinates with the supervisors or weld prep and scheduling position for all work.
  • Checks material for defects and correct dimensions.
  • Verifies all operations have been completed as specified on the documents.
  • Reports all issues and inconsistencies.
  • Uses Non-Conformance Reports (NCR)’s for materials and operations not in compliance.
  • Initiates corrective actions to get NCR’s resolved and get material back into production.
  • Expedites orders through welding as required.
  • Operates all equipment per Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), in a safe manner.
  • Organizes & maintain the areas around the welding area.
  • Improves work flow, work processes or work procedures as needed.
  • Writes Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) is required.
  • Maintains equipment and tools as required by the manufacturer and as directed.
  • Trains additional team members.
  • Proficient in assigned welding techniques.
  • Metal finishing work performed using manual and power tools.
  • Periodic welding AND finishing test required to keep current proficiency status.
  • Performs multiple operations simultaneously often required.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal team members

Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills

  • High School diploma.
  • WABO or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience in metal finishing preferred.
  • 2 years of welding experience preferred.
  • MIG & TIG experience preferred.
  • Stainless steel experience preferred.
  • Strong metal finishing skills

Machine Operator


Position Reports To: Machining Production Supervisor | FLSA: Non-Exempt

General Summary

As a CNC Machine Operator at TGP you will be responsible for the daily operation of production in the Machining work cell. You will demonstrate strong team working skills as you assist other Machine Operators and work with team members from other work cells to meet production demands. A comprehensive understanding of machine technology will contribute to your success as you strive to maintain tolerances throughout your daily operations.

Essential Functions

  • Coordinate with the Supervisor and/or schedule to determine which projects and which machines are to be operated
  • Check material for defects and correct dimensions prior to loading and operating the CNC milling center
  • Operate the machines per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) in a safe manner
  • Setup up tooling as required for each job based on setup sheets from the CNC Programmer
  • Report program inconsistency or suggested surface feet changes to the Supervisor and/or CNC Programmer
  • Work closely with a Machinist and operate the milling center based upon his/her instructions
  • Monitor the machine operation process as parts are being machined to insure quality and accuracy
  • Report all issues and inconsistencies to the Supervisor and/or Machinist
  • Document the operations performed
  • Verify all operations have been inspected and completed before moving completed parts to the next work cell.
  • Organize and maintain the areas around the machining work cells according to 5S policies
  • Maintain all machines as instructed by the preventative maintenance documentation
  • Perform multiple operations simultaneously when required.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal team members.

Other Functions

  • Assist in other work cells as needed.
  • Train in the use of all equipment in the fabrication area.
  • Work across multiple shifts.
  • Other duties as assigned

Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills

  • High school diploma.
  • Certification in Machine Technology is preferred.
  • Previous CNC vertical milling operating of two years is required.
  • Previous experience working with steel is preferred.
  • Experience with Haas controls preferred.
  • Familiar with machine codes and programs
  • Able to make appropriate minor changes to programs as necessary
  • Have setup knowledge of various types of tooling
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and the ability to follow cut list dimensions
  • Able to complete assigned tasks in a limited time frame

Fabrication Assembly Technician


Position Reports To: Production Supervisor | FLSA: Non-Exempt

This position is responsible for assembling and preparing all fabricated and finished products for shipment to the customer.

Essential Functions

  • Performs final assembly, using hand or power tools based on drawings and work instructions.
  • Fit and install hardware to frame.
  • Cut and fit channels to frame using conventional cutting equipment.
  • Install gasketing per protocol and drawings.
  • Documents the operations performed.
  • Inspects completed operations for quality, accuracy and quantity.
  • Expedites material as required.
  • Inspects finished products for defects.
  • Allocate material used to the proper pick-list.
  • Locate & position material as required.
  • Prioritize and schedule assembly operations to ensure on-time delivery per requirements.

  • High School diploma.
  • Two years of operation of overhead cranes preferred.
  • Mechanical assembly experience preferred.
  • Forklift experience required.
  • Lean manufacturing experience preferred.

Logistics Supervisor


Position Reports To: Supply Chain Manager | FLSA: Exempt

General Summary

This position is responsible for supervising all domestic and overseas logistical activities. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Logistics Supervisor will provide policy and leadership for the department. The supervisor will independently guide and direct the logistics function in a proactive manner in all facets of the department; this will include managing department operations, supervising a staff, ensuring work place safety, maintaining quality throughout the logistics process, managing to a schedule, resource planning and work flow, maintaining the area and equipment, policy conformance, cost control, training, and staff development. The supervisor will work closely with other internal departments to ensure that the company’s finished products meet our customers’ expectations of superior quality and on time delivery.

Essential Functions

  • Lead and manage logistics departments to ensure on-time and quality objectives.
  • Ensure safety policies and procedures are in place and are being followed.
  • Oversee the execution of all projects ensuring deliverables and deadlines are met. Plan resources, equipment and employees, to maintain the schedule and on-time delivery requirements.
  • Research and prepare required documents for export including requisite certificates, chamber of commerce attestations, letters of credit documents and other required documents.
  • Maintain an accurate published schedule of all shipments that are schedule for export.
  • Maintain and establish an accurate database of Schedule B number (HTS codes) for all parts for export.
  • Manage export freight claims.
  • Update and audit all aspects of the export compliance manual including denied party screening.
  • Review and assist in ensuring compliance and accuracy of L/C documents.
  • Schedules and maintains export shipments with various freight forwarders and carriers.
  • Review and audits export freight forwarders/carrier invoices.
  • Review and evaluate export carrier performance.
  • Manage all aspects of export freight claim process.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders to schedule incoming freight to all TGP locations (Snoqualmie, Toledo, Canada).
  • Publish an accurate daily schedule of all incoming freight that provides identification and arrival dates.
  • Execute and maintain import compliance manual.
  • Review and audits import freight forwarders/carrier invoices.
  • Update and maintain an accurate HTS database for all imported parts.
  • Implement initiatives for continuous quality improvement of production deliverables.
  • Supervise employees in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws including interviewing, hiring, and training. Plan, assign and direct work. Appraise performance. Reward and discipline employees as required.
  • Ensure the department goals, initiatives, projects, and performance measure align with the goals and performance measures of the logistics department and the company.
  • Provide exceptional internal and external customer service

  • At least 5 years in a customer service role.
  • Strong negotiating skills.
