Framing Options

When combined with Pilkington Pyrostop® glass, the Fireframes Heat Barrier Series doors and frames provide a barrier to radiant and conductive heat transfer. This system allows fire doors to incorporate large glass panels for aesthetic or security reasons and carry fire ratings from 60 minutes to 2 hours.

The Designer Series doors and frames incorporate precise European engineering, providing a sleek, modern alternative to traditional hollow metal frames.

Designed for maximum durability and performance, the Hardwood Series offers an attractive alternative to traditional hollow metal frames. Available with fire ratings from 20 to 60 minutes, this system can incorporate a wide range of fire-rated glazing materials with glass sizes that surpass traditional systems.

Curtainwall Series allows for large, multi-story expanses of glass in interior and exterior applications. A variety of face cap options are available to customize the look.

Fireframes® Aluminum Series frames combined with Pilkington Pyrostop® glass; provide a barrier to radiant and conductive heat transfer, allowing unlimited areas of glazing in fire separations.

This advanced glass floor system incorporates Pilkington Pyrostop® glass and is impact-resistant and fire-rated for up to two hours – the only glazed floor in North America with that level of protection.

The Fireframes SG Curtainwall™ Series is a patent pending fire-rated curtainwall system that allows for large, multi-story expanses of glass with a smooth flush glazed appearance.
Storage & Handling
Pilkington Pyrostop must be handled with care during transportation, storage, inspection and installation. It should be stored in dry conditions, stocked vertically and fully supported in a manner which prevents the glass from sagging. During storage and transportation, the temperature of Pilkington Pyrostop should not exceed 122° F. Do not expose the "non-PVB" side of the glass to UV light. Do not remove the protective edge tape. See manufacturer's installation and warranty information for further details.
Care & Warranty
To maintain aesthetics, it is important to clean the glass during and after construction. For routine cleaning, use a soft, clean, grit-free cloth and a mild soap, detergent, or nonabrasive window cleaning solution.
Rinse immediately with clean water and remove any excess water from the glass surface with a squeegee. Do not allow any metal or hard parts of the cleaning equipment to contact the glass surface.
Failure to comply with these care and cleaning guidelines may result in loss of warranty.
