TGP Daylighting Design Course Qualifies Participants For AIA Sustainable Design Learning Unit Hour

SNOQUALMIE, Wash., April 14, 2009 - To further enhance green building educational opportunities for design professionals, TGP's daylighting course, "A Bright Future: Daylighting For Tomorrow's Buildings," is now registered with the AIA for 1.0 Health, Safety, and Welfare and Sustainable Design learning unit hour. As of 2009, the AIA requires all members to complete four Continuing Education Units of Sustainable Design (SD) to help increase the quality and quantity of environmentally responsible projects.

The course, which was originally registered with the AIA for a 1.0 Health, Safety, and Welfare learning unit, addresses the role of daylighting in environmentally sustainable buildings, including the benefits and challenges, and options for energy-efficient design materials.

Participants may complete the course through an in-person presentation conducted by TGP or an online presentation, and must receive a test score of 80 percent or higher to qualify for AIA CES credit. TGP will provide participants who receive a passing score with a certificate of completion and will submit their results directly to the AIA for credit.

Qualified architectural firms can request an in-person presentation from TGP InOffice™ or visit to complete the course online. Participants completing the in-person and online courses can earn credit for both.
